The Mappr app provides a straightforward solution for adding or updating the location of your photos before posting them on Instagram. It also offers the option to save the photo to your library for use beyond Instagram.

Unlike many other apps that only change the location in your photo library, Mappr actually saves the location inside the photo itself, updating the GPS Exif fields. This ensures that when you share the photo, the location is accurately displayed.

If you're wondering whether you can fake the location of a photo before uploading it to Instagram, it's important to note that Instagram only shows the location embedded in your photo. Without location data in the image file, you can only assign your current location. However, with Mappr, you have the ability to add any desired location to your photo, instantly save it, and quickly open it in Instagram. Once uploaded via Instagram, the new location will be visible on your Instagram Photo Map for all to see.

You might be skeptical about how effective this feature is. But let me assure you that with Mappr, you can open any photo and choose any place in the world as its new location. Then, when you open the photo directly in Instagram from Mappr and share it, everyone will see the new location you selected.

Mappr allows you to enhance your Instagram Photo Map and give the impression that you've traveled the world, even if you haven't. Imagine taking a photo at your local club, using Mappr to change the location to Miami, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Moscow, or London, and then opening it in Instagram to show off to your friends. With just a few taps, Mappr makes it possible.

But maybe faking a location isn't your thing. However, you may have encountered a problem when using photo editing apps like PicShop, Vintique, or BeFunky, as they often strip off your data without your knowledge. In this case, Mappr provides a solution. First, edit your photos in your favorite editing app, then open them in Mappr to set the desired location. From there, you can open Instagram and manually select the duplicated photo created by Mappr with the new location embedded.
